reaching out, but never touching, never succeeding, never reaching.

1.the modern man's insatiable desire for development, advances in science, in society, in intellect, in wealth, in growth....

2.the tower of babel. the goal to build a tower so huge that it would reach the sky. but it suffered the wrath of God. and the builders were scattered.

the similarities between the rat race and the tower of babel are really similar, aren't they?
