1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
3 O LORD, what is man that you care for him,
the son of man that you think of him?
4 Man is like a breath;
his days are like a fleeting shadow.
- Psalm 144: 1-4
and shadows we are,
soon no longer to be seen in places that exist where we no longer are.
and even these places being mere temporary abodes of life.
this photo was taken onboard the 96-year-old Doulos.
the shadows outside the tour booth belong to PJ, a S.Korean guy and a local at the start of a tour.
and i've decided not to join them for a last "voyage" from tuas to keppel bay. ): i really wanted to. but, i tell myself, priorities priorities priorities. i need the time to settle my essay, and spend time on the things that really matter. although, really, the idea of going all the way inside the engine room and one more voyage....... ok. enough. i dont think i will regret this unlike what xin says.
