Our past doesnt really let go of us, does it.
Dear me, why are you such a frightened little soul?
Haven't you counted the cost and found it worth your while?
What happened to those verses you spoke so delightedly about?
Don't you remember you aren't doing all this on your own strength?
Or are you?
Watch the lull,
Child,
Watch
it become clean,
undefiled,
Beloved.
Hasn't God shown you He is pleased to give you favor?
Hasn't He proven Himself worthy of your trust?
Bigger than your fears, more able than the ability you need.
TRUST.
I'm afraid I'll apply for the wrong thing, I'm afraid I'll make a mistake.
I'm afraid I'm gonna head off on the wrong path.
I'm afraid of being rejected once more.
And yet, isn't God the sovereign one?
T R U S T.
Doesn't He lead the blind by ways they have not yet known?Isn't He your declared Master?
Why would He not look after one of His very own?
Why then are you trembling?
Why then, does your faith not stand strong?
Or rather, why do you refuse to trust His promise?
I don't have an answer.
Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders you have done,
the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
they would be too many to declare.
- Psalm 40:5
Shut up and t r u s t Him.
Time to get writing that letter.
